Welcome to the National Guard Association of Michigan
The National Guard Association of Michigan (NGAM) exists to advance the interests of the Michigan National Guard. Formed in 1956, NGAM has a 60-year tradition of providing services to its members and support for their families. In 1962, we were incorporated as a 501(c)19 non-profit veterans' organization.
NGAM has committed to being a part of the solution to end Veterans Suicide. The 54 by 24: Service Dogs Save Lives campaign works to sponsor one medical service dog per state by the 2024 Motor City National Conferences. Service dogs play a major part in healing and helping veterans. Suicide rates are drastically reduced when Veterans are matched with a medical service dog, some organizations even eliminate suicide all together.
Shinola, the iconic Detroit watch maker, has partnered with NGAM to help end suicide and save lives for our Guard members and Veteran communities. This custom, one of a kind, 54 by 24 set of watches were designed for the military member to wear proudly knowing that their purchase helped to save lives. 50% of all sales will be donated to the 54 by 24 campaign.
Come play golf with the leadership of the Michigan National Guard and support your Soldiers and Airmen at the 2023 TAG Golf Outing at the Eldorado Golf Course in Mason, MI.
Columbia Southern University recognizes the effort that NGAM makes in support of its members. NGAM has strived to identify and promote educational opportunities for not only their members but also the spouses and dependents of its members. It is because of what NGAM does for its members and their families, and what the Michigan National Guard does for the nation, CSU would like to offer 2023 Conference attendees a one course scholarship at Columbia Southern University. The one course scholarship covers the tuition associated with any undergraduate course or graduate course (not including doctoral studies).
