Welcome to the National Guard Association of Michigan

The National Guard Association of Michigan (NGAM) exists to advance the interests of the Michigan National Guard. Formed in 1956, NGAM has a 60-year tradition of providing services to its members and support for their families.  In 1962, we were incorporated as a 501(c)19 non-profit veterans organization.

Get ready for a weekend of golf, fun, work, professional development, and volunteer work with the Habitat for Humanity.  The 64th Annual NGAM Conference and General Business Session will be held 14-16 May 2021 at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids, MI.    Visit our conference page here for registration, hotel information, golf, and all of the details with the conference.

2021 NGAM Annual Conference and Business Session

After months and hours of discussion, planning, and research, the NGAM Executive Council has adopted a new set of Bylaws to govern the organization. These laws are aimed to help us maintain the legacy of the organization while adapting to modern practices of business. The goal was to provide a set of rules and standards that helps the organization represent our Guardsmen and families at the highest level of professionalism as possible.
The adoption of these bylaws are just temporary, until you... the membership... have the chance to ratify their approval at the 64th Annual Conference in May of 2021. The Executive Council is currently operating under these rules but until final ratification of the membership, they are open for feedback and markup from the NGAM Membership.
To review your organizational bylaws and provide comments or recommend changes, please click the picture above. Per the previous bylaws under which these rules were adopted, any recommended changes must be presented to the entire membership at least 30 days prior to a final vote. Ratification is currently planned for the State Conference 14-16 May, 2021. Any comments from the membership must be received NLT 13 April 2021 to be published for discussion and review.
