Colonel J. Andrew Roberts, President of the National Guard Association of Michigan (NGAM), announced today the appointment of A. Bradley McGuire as Executive Director for NGAM. McGuire, current Chief of Staff for State Representative Larry Inman (R-104), will lead the Association under the NGAM Board’s direction. NGAM exists to advance the interests of the Michigan National Guard. Founded in 1956, NGAM has a 60-year tradition of providing services to its Members and support for their families.
Michigan has 11,000 active men and women members of the Michigan National Guard – many of whom are deployed in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. “We wanted someone who was as enthusiastic about our goals as we are,” stated NGAM President Colonel Roberts. Colonel Roberts is a highly-recognized Commander in the Michigan Air National Guard, with a deployment with Special Ops during Iraqi Freedom and multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Europe and Southeast Asia. “Brad can bring new ideas and grow the organization in ways that will help our veterans, who have served during Vietnam, Korean, and Iraqi Freedom periods of combat. We are committed to making sure we do everything possible for our active and retired heroes.”
McGuire holds a Master of Arts degree in Financial Economics from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Olivet College.
